In “Nostalgic Windows”, my series of oil paintings on canvas, I depict people and landscapes based on family photographs and memories. Each painting is different as is the time and the atmosphere that it reflects.

Nostalgia brings with it a sense of safety - belonging to something bigger than the current moment, while allowing me to reflect on my identity, my past and the world as it was. My paintings share my longing for the young country I grew up in, with big hopes and dreams, just like a young child at the beginning of their life’s journey.
